A 'Good' and 'Outstanding' School - Ofsted 2009
Our most recent Ofsted Inspection took place in February 2009. The team of HM Inspectors found The Langley Manor School to be a 'good' school with 'outstanding' pupil development and wellbeing in the Early Years.
Highlights of our 2009 Report include:
- The quality of teaching is good and enables the children to make good progress
- The curriculum is good, broad and balanced and meets the needs of learners well
- The learners achieve well in external tests like the National Curriculum Tests and a high proportion are successful at 11+
- The promotion of pupil's welfare, health and safety is good and procedures for safeguarding children are secure.
- Health and safety both on and off the school site is taken very seriously.
- There are good opportunities for children to take part ina wide range of sporting and extra-curricular activities
- The children's behaviour is good with the quality of relationships in the classes very good
- Pupils have high levels of enthusiasm for their learning. They enjoy coming to school and their achievements are celebrated
- Parents receive clear, up to date information about the school.
