The

The Langley Manor Preparatory School is an all-ability, non-selective school. In Year 6 the majority of parents enter their children for the 11+ grammar school exams. Not all children entered may be suitable grammar school students, but we believe that all children have the right and the opportunity to sit the exams. For some children the selective process is not viable and parents withdraw them from the procedure opting for their child to go into independent secondary education or their local secondary school system.

This year 13/14 children sat the 11+ examination, 7 were selcted for a grammar school place, 1 child achieved entry to a local independent school. This success rate is significantly above the local pass rate which is currently approximately 20%.
