FOLMS NEWS

FOLMs have been particularly active during this academic year. Highlights have included:

Autumn Disco for all children

Bingo Evening which proved to be extremely popular with all those who attended. This event included a 'fish and chip' supper. Whilst the adults were enjoying themselves the children were watching a choice of two films with chips, drinks and popcorn provided.

Open Day was a huge success. Our theme of Celebration provided plenty of opportunity for people to be involved. Many new ideas were introduced for 'stalls' in the playground. A parent link with Professor Wolff enabled us to contact him to open our Open Day. He proved to be very popular with all the children who were still talking about him on Monday morning. Our link with Bairstow Eves who sponsored this event was also as a result of a parental link.

Establishing the Second Hand Uniform shop has proved extremely popular and at each of the sales there has been uniform of excellent quality on sale.

The presentation of two trophies to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 for Service to the School Community has raised the children's awareness of the opportunity to support our community.

FOLMs provides an invaluable link between parents and school and the Parent Reps are very good at keeping parents in their year group informed of new developments in school. They also raise points of behalf of parents in regular meetings. Tank you to all the members of FOLMs for their hard work.
