Mouse Wizards

MouseWizards provides lunchtime ICT clubs for children from the Nursery to the end of Key Stage 1. We teach all abilities, from the complete beginner to children with excellent mouse skills.

Our aim in Mini MouseWizards is to develop and extend children's mouse and keyboard skills through fun, educational activities and build the foundations for skills which will last a lifetime. We provide high quality computer tuition with an excellent pupil to teacher ratio, which can enrich all areas of your child's learning and equip them with skills to make them confident and competent computer users. Children are taught in pairs each week by the same teacher who tailors lessons and software to meet each child's learning requirements. Children make quick progress and all achievements are rewarded with special stickers and certificates which children take great pride in.

Children in Key Stage 1 can join MouseWizards Masters. Taught in groups of four with two children at each computer, children take technology to another level using more sophisticated computer skills to enhance and deepen their interest as they progress through Key Stage 1. Children are introduced to new skills such as digital photography and photo-editing, animation, designing and desktop publishing and are awarded certificates when they show competence in that area. Each term follows a different theme and children take home their work on CD at the end of each term.

All MouseWizards parents receive written feedback on their child's progress at the end of each term and will be kept informed about any achievements their child has made in the lesson. You can see examples of children's creative work on display each term. We are always delighted to answer any of your questions if you should wish to phone or email us.

We hope to meet your son/daughter at MouseWizards soon!
